Hi,
We have an asphalt drive that is probably about 20 years old. The problem is that it is starting to break up a little and the top stones & chippings are becoming loose. I don't want to replace the drive as we may be moving shortly but I was wondering is there a way of painting or pouring a binder or seal of some kind & if so where would I find it?
Thanks ???

Thanks for your replies.

About 5 or 6 years ago the local authority put a very thin coating on top of all the pavements and that seems to have lasted in all but the busiest places. Anybody got an idea of what that would be?

A 6mm surface dressing will be your cheapest/best vfm option.

The footpath work you saw was most probably a slurry seal, not the best imo

Don't know for your location but in our country we have a product called Stradalan, made for these kind of repairs. Generaly it comes from Austria. More about Stradalan: http://www.vialit.at/Special%20products_116.html

Yeah another form of slurry sealing.

Thanks for the welcome :) That is the main reason I registered on this forum to see how you guys are doing the same things as me - but far away from where I come from :) Cheers
