We have in the past used a 1 ton pallet truck jacked steel up 8 inches, braced it on the ends with stillages or Jenga stacks of wood then added another pallet and lifted again, short of that it's getting a few mates and sruggling it up some temporary steps made out of stacks of block till its in

weve had a 1 ton on hire for 7 weeks at £70 a week so we bought a whacker neuson one, new member of the team
quite fancy one of them. Are they any good since they brought out lifton?
how much did you pay? they were doding them at sed for £12,500+vat

it not as nice as the twaites we had on hire but it a good little tool, not given it a good run yet but seems fine, ex tp fire fleet 1000hrs £4k + the vat the guy had 100 of them or so

I don't like hiring those Lifton/ Wacker dumpers they're not as controllable in tight areas as the Thwaites you've no break and they keep rolling for a bit after you've come off the throttle. The Thwaites can be quickly stopped and my guys seem to have less accidental knocks with it.

I have not tried the thwaites so cannot comment, but my mate was thrown off a lifton going too quick round a corner. he wore a seat belt after that!

the twaites doesnt have a brake, this has a switch park break so is easier to get et then brake the thwaited always rolled a bit with me
