Its a big long lid, as in a post earlier today, i suggested clarkdrain, but they may be £150ish, why not put 2 600x450 covers side buy side or narrow the opening down using a steel plate then use a standard 600x450 lid for paving MSH

Many thanks for all the replies. I've contact clarkdrain for a quote. If its too expensive, the steel plate alternative seems to be a good way to go.
wrt BT - not sure where to start and who to contact if they do need consulting. Either way, they'll have access to the chamber should be they need it....

Wholeheartedly agree!! ^^^ Steer well clear of BT.
Aslong as they can access their equipment I doubt there will be any problems.

If anyone else is looking into paving over a BT hole, below are the quotes I got back for a lid that is 915x445mm. Prices include VAT & delivery.....expensive.
Clarkdrain - don't do this size
Drainline - 672
Arcova - 432
Cubis Industries - 430
What would I be looking to pay for a standard 600x450?

hi , easiest way is to put two lids next to each other . you can cut one side of the frame off on both of them so you can butt them up together and lay a strip of steel plate across the bt box in the middle where they will sit over . laid lots of frames on streets various sizes , only thing the utility firms want is a cleaned out bottom of box if anything .record was seven barrowfulls of shite off a box on oxford circus. dont phone them just do it .
