If I need 100mm compacted MOT underneath a patio, what approximate depth will it need to be before I start to compact it please?
Patio only 3.75m x 2m and I will be hiring a small wacker. I want to estimate how much MOT to buy.
I appreciate that any figures can only be ball-park and will depend on the material, wacker passes etc.

You'll need approx 1.5ton if your plate is small then build it up in 2 layers 50mm each and compact well. 2 bulk bags of stone will weigh 1.6-1.7 ton so that'll be your best bet and chuck the rest in the skip.
Can't see it from my house

thats not good practice to waste material like that. NOBODY should throw away materials that can be used elsewhere.
I once salvaged a pellet of flettons that the builder had over ordered, and he couldn't be bothered saving them. criminal!
