You still keep the fall's, but the sub-base material need to be flat with no surface depressions or ridges +/-10mm,jack101 wrote:just out of interest: how are gradients dealt with if the the sub base is best kept level? suppose you have to do a gradient of 1:20 over a distance of 50m, surely the sub base would have to be sloping at 1:20
The way to do this is tie a string line to a pin at each end of site at finished leval,inc. falls,then using a tape measure dip down down from the line the required amount i.e 90mm/100mm or what ever you need this will keep a reguar flat base,use a rake to move the type1 around them wacker plate it MSH
