this whole story doesnt seem right to me
the girl went back to a hotel with his best mate after a night out on the town,his mate then texts him etc etc
I have seen similar on stag dos abroad and i think it is a sticky situation
as a husband,father ,brother, and son, to women who i love, rape is a horrific crime
but what happened here was not really in anyway similar to some perv hiding in a bushwith a mask and knife
i read somewhere that in 99% of cases where women think there drink has been spiked ,the cause of their amnesia is excess alchohol
england stayed at the chiltern hotel in luton before an away game back in the early 90s,all the local girls were on them like a rash and i believe it was only 1 or 2 that went to bed alone that night
IMHO he is guilty of being a typical footballer

To me it's another case of a footballers arrogance. They think they are above us mere mortals and so do what they want. He should of been a gentleman and put the girl in a taxi and sent her home. How dare he text his mate and invite him around as if the girl was a toy to be used hilst two others were peeping toms....pervs'. We all know the rules of chatting a woman up and how far to go, i think he's a nonce and hope it sends a message to those underworked, overpaid frauds.

I can't agree with you on this issue. I'm not the judge' or jury, he has been found guilty and really we shouldn't be having this debate. you can't surely back someone who has been done for rape LLL. These guys are a bunch of narcissistic bastards. I have a granddaughter just coming up to that age, and you would be comfortable for her to be taken back to a egotistical, lowlife's hotel and be subjected to an ordeal like that, where the other option would be to put her in a taxi and send her home. And carberry i don't think you should tar us men with the same brush, we haven't all been "guilty of rape." Some of us know how to treat and respect the fairer sex. I find this debate of grading rape very distasteful.
I'm with Sean on this, if she too drunk to consent they get her home or leave her be in the hotel room, girls says no its no.
My new girlfriend works for the police and not only does she have to deal with all these horrendous cases, one she's got at mo 45 yr old male hairdresser 40 counts of raping a down syndrome boy from 12-18. She also avoided an attack on her dog walking field because her dog took a disliking to the guy following her he later raped a girl at knife point. He's just got 10 years eastern European who served life for murdering his wife in Estonia...

Not my thing sleeping with a girl who is wasted, i've never done it, never will. I have had a few opportunities though. When I was in Brazil my brother pulled this girl, she was basically w*nking him off in the club, when we left she was so drunk she was arguing with the bouncers because it was closing time, she turned around and snogged me thinking I was him. My brother said he went back to her place, played with her tits a bit then got up and left because she was wasted.
