Best disc cutter?

This summer Stihl will be releasing a fuel injected version for lower emmissions and the like but

That should make a massive difference to global warming ??? . I bet China produces more nasty emmissions in one hour than all the sthill saws in the world combined will ever do

I nerver had any problems with my Sthilly. Fantastic bits of kit. Red hot for thieves though. It didnt bother me about using the choke to turn it off because you always needed the choke to start anyway. So choke in effect became the on/off switch. Probarbly no good for the saw but mine never let me down

It's not the global warming they are thinking about, it's the emmissions you breath in when using it. Cancer and all that!

If you've got mains power go for the Hitatchi cm12y pull the trigger and it works every time no petrol no filter to clean just as powerful, they last years, it's a no brainer.

has it got water suppresion or dust extraction?
did a 4 hr asbestos and hse course this AM with all our subbies and disc cutters they are red hot on

They do them in 240 & 110. They do have a dust extraction port apparently. But I just wonder how good the dust extraction really is with these electric disc cutters.

My Makita that I said was dead reliable has died today.

Pistons and main bearing gone.

Beyond economical repair.

5 years hard work out of it though.

Might try a new Stihl as all you boys loves em and I'm getting old now and the stihls a bit lighter.

3 weeks ago i would ahve said a husqvarna over a stihl but having just purchased a ts410 I cant fault it and am glad i went for the stihl over the husqvarna.

was looking at a hilti one in hire shop big money any feed back on these was told 1000 pound

Never used one but my brothers work uses them and he says their good saws. Hilti do a lease scheme for tools, anything happens they replace it.

why would you pay double for a ferrari when you can buy a BMW that does the same speed?
same with stihl and hilti

having said that I have owned a hilti te20 for 10 years and it still drills really well,and i like the fact that its Liechtenstein's biggest company
whilst browsing i found that its founder martin hilti was in the waffen ss during world war 2

I like Hilti because they do the work asked and they last. Their rep once told me that they make their money in the fixings as the tools are one off sales with a repeat sale 20yrs later. ???

The Hilti has 1 kw more power than a ts410 and less rpm so should be good on beefy work the huskys are true animals aswell and the makita feels un balanced at first, the hitachi I used with cookie was very light but after a few cuts they are all as good as each other ........Now where's my 4" wet cut power saw google!!!!!!!!!
