I wont have anyone on site without steel toe capped boots,we were demolishing a wall today (was going to take a picture of the 10 acrows ,needles etc but didnt want to get flamed :;): )
anyway I was on a low set of trestles with the demolition hammer and a large chunk of masonry fell hit the wall and bounced straight on to my toe,
i felt the weight of the impact on my toe-tector and it tore the leather
no steelies today would have been a broken foot for sure
started using safety glasses as well doing demo work,as has been said you just get us ed to it after a bit and it becomes second nature

started pulling the piles out after filling it up with stone
exposed the existing founds so structural engineer can inspect
lots of these feckers in the way
going to have to dowel this side and underpin it, not a lot of crete for a big old house, but ground is good clean sand
other sides better not like the brickies to get it in the middle
if anyne gets reinforcing mesh etc from ROM thats there sheffield hg under the rainbow lol

Went to Travis to get 200 class b blues only had solid blues so got 200 for the same price as class b we were laughing that when you want solids for copings or pillars they never have them.
