a prospective client has asked me to price his drive ,he has 4 options but his preferred option is the above in walnut
I wonder has any of the brew cabin laid these indian stone type blocks?
what are the pitfalls?
i am guessing that sizing and wacking could be 2 potential issues
also being sand stone more potential for moss and algae?
thanks in advance
LLL

If you bought them off the marshalls ebay section then that might be the reason why they were a bit dodgy. i'm the last person who's ever going to be singing marshalls praises, but you cant knock the quality of thier stone

Hi Luton and all

All you need to know on this subject right here:-

http://www.pavingexpert.com/blocks_stone01.htm

This was a 200x100 paviour - now discontinued to make way for the 3 larger sizes (still very accurate the size)

We recently supplied British quarried natural stone block paving which was not as accurate, however, the finished job looked stunning. it also works out cheaper than the imported stone blocks!!! I will try to get photos of the job,

regards

Dan

i was impressed with that drive but wonder what it looks like now,my biggest concern apart from accuracy is maintenance

plus if the blocks are £50 a metre the total job is going to rack up significantly
with any kind of block type paving its important that you can lay with reasonable speed on the areas, time is money and if you end up having to sort blocks it will kill the job

I've seen that job before. The workmanship and performance of the blocks are 100% first class but the colours are horrendous

There is definately a place in the market for natural stone block pavers but special attention needs to be paid to the colour and more importantly the durability.

The quallity is good but Steve's right only a Gypsy's wife would chose that colour.
Can't see it from my house
