Mini digger tracks

...should I buy genuine / original replacement tracks or are 3rd party ones just as good?

I have a tear in one of mine so I was thinking of just replacing the pair.

for a 1.5 ton, they are about £150 each. i would'nt bother with it till they are completly worn out. normaly the cleats rip out inside the track.

Yes I'm getting quoted around the £140 mark. It's actually a 0.8T micro type of digger but I don't think that makes a huge difference on track price.

I was wondering if I could somehow stick the tear back together with some sort of metal pin, but that could cause more damage I guess

On ebay 115 for the 72 track you need for a micro, plus you'll have a spare incase. Go cheap, they are just as good

if the metal bars arent coming out i wouldnt replace it yet

depends we always swap both at same time and first sign of a rip swap them out as they always go, half way across a bog or the worst possible place like tracking across a road que walking the machine on one track using the arm to carry it

I think I'll get them changed before they go, thanks for the heads up on looking on eBay - I didn't think anyone would sell them on there to be honest.
