Hi, am new to site and appreciate any help you can give me.

I need to replace a cracked pcc IC cover on my driveway. I reckon it's easily 40 years old and measures 21 1/2" square in old money. (545mm)

I've had a good look on line and at a couple of local builder's merchants with no luck.

Does anyone know where I find one to fit?

Many thanks!

You won't find a cover to fit in your existing frame. Replacement of the whole shooting match, cover and frame is the only option unless you come up trumps in a reclamation yard.

Sounds like you need a 600 x 600 cover.

Thanks Dave,
Do you think it's worth enlarging the frame rebate a wee bit with a grinder to fit new 600x600mm cover instead?
Thanks

I don't think you'd get a new cover to fit your old frame. Replacement of the cover and frame is the only option open to you unless you are very lucky somehow.

Its akin to fitting a different engine in to a car when you can buy a better car for 40 quid... Ie not worth the hassle, once you buy the lid you have the correct frame anyway.

OK. I'm certainly guilty of trying salvage things like this, to my great cost and complication. I'll take your advice and just get a new cover and frame. Many thanks for your responses.

Keep up the good work.
