Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Hello
This is my first post, I could do with some advice.

I want to extend my patio, the only problem is that there is a round IC which will be part of the patio, well half of it will as the boundry fence runs through the middle. This is lower than the patio as all the soil has sunk over the years and looks like the IC was set low, because opposite still in my garden I have another IC that is higher that the soil level but at the side a manhole that is level, How can I get around this ?

My next question:
in my front garden I have another IC which is Higher that the soil level this is the plastic type ( looks like rings stacked )
Can these be cut down ?

Thanks
Phil

It's fairly easy to cut down these plastic ICs, or to build them up with brickwork, if necessary. Have a look at the RecessTrays page for some info on how these chambers are dealt with when adjusting levels.
