Same here, you can't beat the JCB blades for the money.

Macrist Mi750 for block paving and Mi850 for Granite and hard sandstone pricey but worth it I reckon if you account for the much faster cutting time and longer life then they work out better. Can't be bothered with cheap blades sparking everywhere and burning out on basic cuts.

I've just had a look at them Dave I reckon they're re-branded Edge blades they have very similar names and detailing as well as they same profiles. Edge blades are ok for block paving if a little slow but sh#t themselves when asked to cut any amount of stone flags. I've never seen JCB over here.

Certainly are Tone, best thing we've discovered in many years.

You can price a blade in on each job and still be quids in.

There may be some materials that Pabs finds are extremely tough on the blades, but generally, using these blades on a wet cut, you can't go wrong for the money.

The ones I have are tywelt 5blades cut all the paving in Cheshire at 75mm thick they have a quick cut I would not use them if not have used all the top end blades which you can't abuse because they cost to much ie changing from sandstone to granite at £10 per blade no problem ps I always wet cut :D

over the years I have used blades what are expensive, cheap, and anything inbetween, the blades I use now cost £ 65 and last 3 times longer than the cheap blades so how i see it is yeah the JCB blades are cheaper but i would put money on it you will use twice to three times as many as I do with the blades I am using at the moment so it will still equate to about the same cost
