Yes - there is one particular plant that is getting on a bit - plus these plants are situated in pretty hostile places.

-8 in Chelmsford this morning doing a ground beam. At the steel fixing stage. And I must say it is one cold job to being doing in this weather but mustn't grumble as I could be losing days like some of you fellows. Holding out for Tuesday though hoping to cast the beam then and needs to be hitting 4 degrees and rising.
Best of luck all who are suffering hope the weathers turns for you soon.

My mates gas bottle froze in his caravan. On m25 last night was showing -9 in some areas on my way home. Think deisal 'gels' up rather than freezes below-12. There is summer and winter additives the fuel company uses. You can add some petrol to a tank of deisal which will stop it gelling up also.
-9 and it starts to gel and go waxy. There are additives you can put in, or you can add some kerosene rather than petrol.
I got a gas bottle back from the gypsies once, black up one side. I asked what the hell happened to it, they said it wasn't working because it was too cold so they put it on the bonfire.

it all ended well for him anyway if got to annoy some nurses for a while and from most angles he's better looking after losing a few layers of farmers skin. Took the kids out this morning and the temp was 10deg we've still not had any frost yet.
Can't see it from my house
