Water is coming up from interior concrete floor where the carpet gripper rods have been nailed. Not pooling but pressing the concrete shows water is there. We think the source of the water has been stopped but don't know what damage may have been caused or what remedies there are available. Any suggestions? Only moved in 6 weeks! ???

I don't expect that the DPM has been pierced but this is how we know we have a problem! I don't have underfloor heating. We've dug a bit and discovered that the water source has been an overflow pipe. Flags have been laid at the same level as the DPC and where we've exposed the mortar in the bricks is damaged at the DPC level. This where the water was hitting and we think has come in. I don't know who to get in - a builder or a plumber?
