i made a conscious choice not to take on work in london as 3-4 hrs a day travel, makes it a life drainer IMHO
if push comes to shove we go to north london ,but any farther and the logistics dont add up

I agree. I don't even do london crusher hires now if they are beyond the bottom of the M1. So much hastle with parking and congestion. I pass it on to a mate who lives there

Been working in holland park and thre is a sea of fleccy vests.. They are spending the money and having the work done. 20 quid a day parking and 3 hrs a day driving is worth it to feed the kids.

It is hard work in town. Seems like everyone is out to get you, especially the traffic wardens. They are absolute murder in Brixton, we have had parking tickets in our lorries while delivering stone. We always win them on appeal but its just another ball ache you've got to sort out. You've got to be a brain dead moron to give a delivery vehicle a parking ticket while its dropping goods off

Especially a lorry your size. I had one eejit try and ticket me. I told him the loading bay was full of illegally parked cars and I had a couple of 47kg bottles of gas to shift, said it wasn't his concern. Tw*t made me park 100m away.
