Street cobble - Reclaimed street cobble or sawn stone se

Hi,
Can anyone tell me who would supply reclaimed street cobble or sawn stone sett paving. I would preferr sawn for the smoother finish but dont want a modern look.
An example of what I would be after is in a section of the web site called "Setts and cubes introduction" under the section called "colours". It is the picture opposite the heading "Coursed" and when you hover over the picture with the mouse it says "Coursed granite setts". Not much traffic but occasional bin lorry.

try CED in Omagh they can supply that kind of paving just be prepared for a shock with the price. McMonagle in donegal may also do it but there service is legendary for being poor. Reclaimed paving is very hard to get in Ireland now since the crash but most salvage yards have small amounts so you could get enough if you go to several. What part of Ireland are you in.

also try Kilkenny limestone they do lots of different types of limestone in various finishes and it's lovely stone.

That image is a tumbled granite sett as used in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkcestershire. I have a feeling that it was Hardscape who put the stone into that job, and they've just opened a new office in that Belfast.

You have to be careful that it's Hardscape as in the British-based company and not the well-respected NI contractor, Trevor Ford, who has been trading under that name for many a year. I see trouble ahead.....

Trevor and I started our companies at the same time and he's done the odd bit of subbing for me over the years and at present his younger brother is the best employee I've ever had. He's not a limited company so has no claim to the name but Hardscape and various others havo been renting offices over here because the next installment of peaceNI money is about to be handed out. Basically most of the money goes towards urban regeneration and massive streetscaping projects meaning huge natural stone sales. These companies have no stock here and most of the employees are pr who spend all day lobbying architects and politicians and as soon as the sale is done they'll be on the plane home until the next block grant.

I told Trevor and his father-in-law *years ago* to get the business name protected, but they were confident that nothing could challenge their position in the Norn Iron hard-landscaping trade.

My cynicism is well founded it was just announced today that Belfast City Council is to spend £230m on regeneration and upgrading of public spaces and venues. £150m of this is will capital expenditure on visible regeneration so will be spent on construction and streetscaping etc the rest will be behind the scenes on technology infrastructure and social groups etc. I shall be keeping a keen eye out for any streetscape tenders for the next while and have already started drafting a letter to send to those who would likely be main agents for the works offering subbed paving and landscaping services. Most of the projects are already drawn up and approved so work will get underway soon. A lot of the money is European and American and more is on the way for the rest of the towns and cities over here many of which haven't visibly changed from the worst days of the troubles.

I dont think they are reclaimed setts. I think they are mixed colour chinese granite setts sawn six sides and tumbled.
