juts watching cowboy builders. Really wound me up to see Melinda Messenger going round to small businesse sapphing furniture. She's got loads more money than the people she's blagging stuff off, if she cared that much she should stick her hand in her own pocket before shoving a camera in peoples faces and putting them on the spot.

There showing next week a woman who gave some builder £13,000 and didnt even know the guys surname. surely the story there is that this woman is a complete numpty.

also on the episode i just watched a family who gave a builder £10,000 in cash. the builder then did a shit job and left the house in a dangerous state.

Are these people that stupid? the world is full of crooks and you've got to do your due dilligence and not allow the skanks to get into your life. if you are that stupid to give someone £13,000 in cash to someobody who's surname you dont know, what the hell can you expect to happen.

Also the couple who gave the cowboy builder £10,000 without getting a reciept would have been quite happy to avoid paying the VAT.

They do it to themselves through there own stupidity

i think i said it before a mate of mine did £1000 worth of work free for them on a promise of free advertising
when they rang him again he said could they pay for the materials and he would do the work for free?
they said plenty more fish in the sea and hung up on him
he said the whole thing is a charade,they have a container of gear already on site before the cameras even get there
i refuse to watch it any more as its so distorted
i wonder if dom would like to explain his actions re:ponceing off hard up builders and then mugging them off, on here

They asked me to do some digging about 2 yrs ago on the promise of advertising, i had seen the program and knew the guy was lying.

They badly wanted to knock the taffs wiring but couldnt, only had lack of cert to moan about. Ps that dom is an old skool dodgy second hand car dealer, im certain he has ripped of loads of buyers over the years.

That said... Taffy was a proper bob.

maybe a statement explaining why they see fit to induce hard working tradesmen to work for free,when the whole premise of the show is flawed
its like saying that muggers mug,or robbers rob

the public could be better educated about picking a quote that maybe isnt the cheapest

dont you think it is all set up beforehand, that they give stuff away for free. If belinda just walked in off the street, at least someone would tell her to go away in no uncertain terms. It must be doing something right if you all watch it ??? It was proved years ago that it is all set up because remember anneka rice got sussed out doing it. I watched 5 mins of this. After slagging off the cowboy builder they set about stripping the roof. Then it pissed down. Water running down through the house, plaster board hanging off the ceiling. When are they going to do one on cowboy TV programmes?
