Were getting the keys on Monday so we are chomping at the bit to get started. Got a low loader coming down on monday to transfer a couple of forklift trucks over to the new site and also to move the loading ramp over as well.

We've got the new trucks now so the plan is to keep one on the road for deliveries and get the other one working for 19 hours a day moving all the stock across. I'll be doing 9 1/2 hours driving a day until its completed and will still need to do my day job as well, so will have to become a creature of the night for the next few weeks. will post a few piccs on monday while the place is still empty

i don't envy you steve. I have to move into a bigger barn next to mine, and thats bad enough, juts a few metres. Unbolt all my racking and wall hooks, and re arrange everything. it takes so long.

is your new premises shared or is it your own? parking wasn't great where you were as the garden centre took most of the spaces!

Were moving to another garden centre Dan, but we will be the only tenants on the site unlike the current arrangement. also the garden centre we are moving too is winding down so we will have plenty of space to grow into. Btw meant to thank you for the tip on the crusher, we picked it up just before christmas, we've not had a chance to set it up yet but will do at the new place. next time you have an order give me a call and I'll make sure you get a bit of a deal

Steve

did you take on board my suggestion, and start crushing up your leftover/broken stone to use a type 1 then?

Yeh, but we had no clue what to buy. We were looking at Red rhino's until I spoke to the dig dug and he said not to touch them with a barge pole. He gave us a tip on a machine up in Bolton

granite chippings could be graded and sold as just that
sandstone crushed 35-0 mm sold as type 1
save your waste costs and sell it for maybe £20 a tonne collected
I have used crushed stone and it wacks down nice
