Kitchen - diner - Just curious

My missus has asked me to do some drawings to get some ideas and show some builders.

What she wants is to knock through to lounge and make a kitchen-diner area and turn the dining room into the lounge and knock through (double doors) to dining area. Hope this makes sense.

Is it a major job? I've got no idea on cost or ideas.

The wall between existing kitchen and lounge is 3.38m. Wall between existing lounge and dining room is 3.64m. Both Walls are 130mm wide.

the walls are 100mm bodge, 2 lots of 15mm plaster
if the walls are load bearing you need calcs done and BCO visit
ballpark figure 3k finished
about 4 days work including electrics plastering etc

Some councils, (mine included) have set calcs for steels online so you can find out what size you need without spending the money.
