Paving – least maintenance against value for money - Paving – least maintenance against value

Hello
I am relaying my entire garden with new paving. There is approximately 200sqm of paving to purchase. Expensive!! I am not looking for fancy expensive material and lavish design. I am looking for something that looks acceptable and paving that will be the least maintenance over the years\decades in comparison to value for money (not design).

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Is concrete slabs good on low maintenance?

Maybe a cheap concrete slab witha simple contrasting block paver border, cheap, simple, hard wearing and pretty low maintenance other than a sweep every now and then.

council greys are timeless
they are virtually bullet proof and only cost around £18 per M2
to buy
also there is a multitude of indian stone for similar money but more care needed
from your remit I would say council greys

Yes council slabs are your best bet they last forever and as LPAD says they can be lifted with a simple block edging. Do you really pay £6.70 a flag Tony thats a savage price I got some delivered last week for £2.05 a flag.

council 3x2's are definately the way forward, but beware they come with a health warning. Very bad for backs
