After the ignominy of having a Preston-based paving gang sealing driveways with milk (yes; milk), a ruse for which they were invited to spend some time in on of Her Maj's lesss salubrious addresses, we now have a gang in Manchestoh that actually set fire to a new driveway they were allegedly constructing.

Come on other regions: surely you have pillocks to challenge those up here in the hub of the nation, don't you?

How about a paved driveway that im re doing at the moment? Above the damp course by 75mm at one point, all laid on building sand. Took the guy 4 weeks to do 30sqm!

I would expect it to take longer than that. Would sink any time you walked on it :laugh:

I've seen mains gas and large cables in an inch of soil very easy to strike both with a shovel let alone a machine :(

It had sunk in certain places so client had tried to use clay to bed the blocks on....??
