know a lad with a 46ton machine working down to 25 ton machines, most are 30 -40 and his costs are scary, 4 lads on maintenance full time with workshop/vans etc. ???

Looking for some thing cheap and cheerfull really,have got a couple of jobs i priced that could do with a bit more heave and depth than the 9 tonner,besides which it is tied up long term with a client.Also cheap so that Ido not have to worry about finding work for it and it wont hurt parked up between jobs. seen some cheap tidy dawoos,but komatsu or jcb would be preferable. Are Dawoos any good and can you get bits for them easily? DNF

we run jcb got a newish (2008) js130HD (16 tons) and an older js130 1995 that weve had since 1998, the older one worth about 6k and still runs all day everyday not as quick or smooth as the newer one but as strong, not as nice looking or comfortable and the six pot burns more fuel but it works hehe. daewoo and good machines and parts are still readily available, as korean not japenese so no japan disaster knock on. komatsu are great machines, european factory in newcastle newer ones are really nice not operated an older one though.

we paid over 40k for our js130 with 1200 hours and 18 months on it.

About 12-15k depending on what and where it is,dont want to do finance really but may consider it for the right machine!
Also a blade would be nice.

blade runners are really nice but early ones had final drive issues with teh uprated dozer final drives, one on ebay last year made over Â£38k

i doubt for your budget you will pick up a bladed machine in the 13-16 ton bracket as they are a relatively newer development as no one liked them before, gettign in the way etc but id have one any day.

a blade runner is an awesome machine, especially with a topless driver

might be a next project that for the photography side get some topless birds in our machines for a calendar hehe

wouldnt want the repair bills though

And it would need its full compliment of mirrors!

Saying that I do have a young lady who,when she is not at uni,is a very competant operator and will and often does put some of the lads to shame.And no,she does NOT drive topless!!
Also suggested the calender thing but got told that the girls would,provided the men did a nude one first.
With my lot OMG I dont think a camera has been invented for that yet *$!!%*$ DNF :laugh:
