I'm pricing a job in North London for a garden designer to landscape a front garden of a property. Part of the work involves replacing a drive.
The problem I have is the supporting retaining wall to the lower property is of a poor construction and has moved I'm looking for ideas on how to reinforce the wall short of replacing it. Some sort of ground reinforcement.
Just looking at this stage to come up with alternate ideas that might work, that doesn't break the bank.
Cheers in advance
Clive

is your work on the higher or lower section clive?
and who does the wall belong to?
we did something similar in this thread but it wasnt cheap
once they have failed its probably cheaper to start afresh
LLL

Thanks for the input guys.
I think in the back of my mind I was trying to avoid the situation LLL found himself and price myself out of the job The job originally was designed to retain all the retaining walls. So I turns up like the harbinger of doom, pointing out that all the walls are shot and are going to need replacing. So now instead of a shinny new landscaped garden. We are probably looking to blow all the budget on the walls. Until of course someone else comes along with a different idea.
I'll price the job as it should be done and see what happens, but I'm guessing I'm not going to be Mr popular.
The retaining wall in question is like is like LLL's and retains the drive from the lower neighbours. Ownership has yet to be clarified but the current drive has a crack running parallel to the wall 1/3 the way across. The retaining walls above are only about 500mm high but look like they are only half brick :-/ so I'm not expecting much of this one.
