watch that sarah beeny and her old man doing up that mansion. They are doing a puckered job but are they for real? They graft together there with the kids running around and not one tif, argument, bad word, swearing, or getting mad. Must be stage managed surely. My wife and I would of slaughtered each other on week one

if you read that its hardly anything, they put gatepost up without pp, wow lock them up.... mr grove sounds like your typical power trip out for his own end bureautwat i mean bureaucrat
fair play to them i say done a good job making something of it rather than letting it collapse, you often wonder if sometimes the conservations officers would rather have them fall down than be modernised. i though architecture was an evolving thing fluid etc or we'd all be living in caves or wattle and daub huts....
rant over and goodnight haha

The reason that i didnt and couldnt buy that house was that grade 2 listed = big spends on restoration
she has used her fame to try and bypass the rules she tells everyone else to obey on her programme ???
I have worked on heritage jobs and they hemorrhage money, but there is a massive difference between portugese and welsh slate in terms of appearance and durability
wedding venues generate a lot of money at an average 30k a pop for a wedding with 80 a year at the venue
its a business not a home

Don't think Luton mentioned it being about reality, only viewing figures?
As for reality TV, it doesn't exist.
Gold Rush
Ice Road Truckers
Storage Wars
Pawn Stars
Deadliest Catch
American Pickers
Mud Men
Top Gear
....and on ....and on
all scripted within an inch of their lives.
Reality is boring and not enough to make a full series TV progammes about.

breathalyser needed on pc :;):
what i meant is that all tv bar BBC and even the beeb to some extent need advertising revenue to fund the programmes and make a profit
that is their Raison d'être (notice the french theme in this debate :;): )
we all know how it works on real sites,
stuff ordered for monday turns up Wednesday, blokes ring in sick or not at all, clients go skint, there is a bit of banter and swearing
all the " reality " tv shows do is try and boil down the overall mundane stuff and make it dramatic,to increase viewer numbers and thereby advertising revenue
the reason producers (and i know a couple) like reality tv is that is very cost effective to produce
imagine the difference in costs between a period drama and following around someone doing up an old house
I haven't seen ms beenys programme and I am sure she has done a nice job ,I just dont feel its right that all those lads working on it get mugged off money wise for the prospect of being seen on tv
mind you its their choice
cheers LLL
