Hi all,

I have had a new permeable block paving drive built at the side of my house. It needed to be level with the internal floor of the house as we need a level threshold for our daughter who is disabled. I am worried as they have had to build it 100mm above the dpc. They have put a waterproof membrane up against the wall below the dpc and level with the top of the block paving 100mm above the dpc and filled the gap with a soft black putty. also they have had to bring the drain level up also doing the same with a membrane behind. my main concern is no spash back for rain and standing snow in bad weather as the wall in question gets the brunt of the awful northern weather. please advise can post photos

many thanks steve

Jeez. Where will dampness go thats travelled via higher bricks once its got below the barrier they have fitted? It may be a work around but surely a simple ramp would have worked for your daughters needs? Pics would be interesting
