I've tried to avoid tarmac.....

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

I think that you should be honest and decline the work. You can still be the contractor though and do all the prep and associate the finishing to a honest tarmac firm but carefully it can all go wrong in minutes.
