Hi - I have a problem with damp in my below ground and below the dpc garage walls despite the fact that they have been tanked. I have found a leak in a drain which is at the corner of the house directly above the top right of the garage. This has been repaired and tested. However, in very bad rainfall water still pours out of a step which is next to this drain and flows into the soil down beside the garage wall and creates a puddle. I am assuming this is ingressing into the garage. The house is on a hill and the garden is sloping towards the patio and house and I am wondering if this is sub soil water which is finding its lowest point. Can anyone advise me please on how to locate the source of this water without digging up the whole patio. If I knew where it was coming from I could then channel it away from the garage wall.
