LLL the bag above your head test is such a primer for a guy to slit it from behind and deposit the hole bag on your head, maybe not the best idea with cement as plaster hehe

Liking that trick, going to pull that one on me labourer, got him with balancing 2 full Pint glasses on the backs of his hands last week, then walked off and left him at the Bar. Nobody would help him put them down, and the gaffer said he'd bar him if he dropped them, didn't leave him to long though, one of the Pints was mine.

We dug a Sandstone "Slab" out of a Garden in Brum about a year ago, 5'x5'x3", God knows who laid it, but it was laid(on cinder) not just thrown down. Previous owners had Block Paved over it, so no surface damage, and we've re-claimed it back at our yard. Methinks a nice Table or the like.

Years ago I was asked for a price to put up a fence. The old fence that needed removing was formed with York stone sections placed in the ground vertically. Each section was 4foot x 8foot x 8 inches. I dug down the face of the stone my self to find it was 8foot in length. ive never seen stone in that size before or since. I gave a price and never heard any thing back. To this day id be interested to know how the stone was installed as the houses were built around 1870 and the only mechanical advantage available would have been block and tackle and blood, sweat and tears. This method of fencing wasn’t a one off either most properties of that age in Tyldesley still have York stone fences.

up in the north of Scotland they use massive vertical slabs of caithness stone for walling. It's very impressive considering some of the bits would easily weigh a ton. Beautiful stone to.
Can't see it from my house

Dont worry Haggs, there is no danger of us importing them. You would probarbly get about 175m2 per container as opposed to the 425m2 we get with our 25mm material.
