Couldnt find much info on this using the search function. Im hoping to have a block paved drive installed soon, but would like to have some lighting set into the blocks/kerbstones around the perimeter to help with parking.

Can anyone point me to a good product/supplier please.

Thanks

Make sure you go for ip67 rather than ip65 lights. Ip65 are only any good on walls rather than floor applications. Have seen many with water in them. Other than that there are so many manufacturers out there i would suggest you find what you are looking for on google, the ip rating will be key

Thanks for the reply. I will do some research on IP67 lights.

Im wanting to provide some soft lighting to the edges of the driveway (so the wife doesnt drive over the kerb stones!), rather than tiny lights purely for visual appearance.

Thanks again

Aurora do a good range of outdoor lights also you could try landscape+ they have a large range of good quality stuff. Persoannly I'd speak to a decent spark and tell him your requirements then let him do the sourcing he'll know whats good and whats not.
Can't see it from my house

Ok smart ass,
IP stands for ingress protection and the higher the rating the better the protection etc, IP 65 is more than adequate above ground externally but under go higher. However you also have to remember that whatever fittings you use should be of an equal rating. :;):

i took a stab at that rab :;):
having installed a fair few underground lights I can confirm that medium to long term they are worthless, even ones that cost £180 each failed after a couple of years

Thanks for all your replies.

Would this Aurora Driveover Light be the kind of light I need...?

Aurora Driveover 70W HID IP67

Not cheap are they, might have to just have one either side of the entrance, rather than all around the perimeter. Would they be too bright on a driveway 8m x 6m?
