fair enough as long as they dont start whinging is the drive moves
I agree haunching looks ugly but it serves a purpose

The woman who owns it doesn't even drive, she just hated the gravel that was down :laugh:

I took the original haunching up, that came out easily enough because it hadn't had long to dry but it was bloody difficult to take the blocks out to relay because of how tight the curve was.

Carberry: I haven't got a zoomed out pic - but I reckon the curves are similar to the pic you've posted. That looks so much better than what I've got!

Local Patios and Driveways: The way you describe to cut the blocks is same as Tony's advice on the website isn't it?

To all: Can I redo them - or would I wreck the blocks getting them out of the haunching? Or should I just let it go and enjoy my driveway and not look at the curves!

I will take a pic of the whole driveway so you can have a look if it's of any interest (LLL did ask if I had a pic).

To all: Is it MY OWN FAULT for not asking questions on how they do their curves when I showed them my design?

When you put in kerb blocks around edges do you point inbetween?

Thanks again for the replies.

I have got some more pics of the drive if anyone's interested in seeing them . . . yes/no? (let me know). I think someone asked about a 'zoomed out' pic of the curves to see how tight they are. And 'LLL' asked about seeing more of the whole thing.

Before that though, just want to check with you all - it is OK for me to discuss all this isn't it? I'm not actually slagging the contractor off here am I - just asking opinions regarding a few things. I am entitled to do that aren't I? Suddenly I feel worried that I'm doing something wrong for some reason!

I don't think the guy is aware of this website and is very unlikely to discover this particular thread by accident.

As long as I don't name them here then I'm OK aren't I?

I'll happily shutup and go away if advised to know!!

Anyway let me know if you want to see more pics and I will ask 'lutonlagerlout' to post them for me (as I seem incapable of doing them myself!).

my personal preference is to " name and shame"
but as a lot of folk are worried about upsetting contractors its down to you
this is a forum and we discuss stuff (lots of stuff) as long as you do not try to go all legal i dont think there is any issues
