French drain up to dpc

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Can anyone help me with a technical issue regarding what is acceptable for current drainage standards in paving work. We want to lay paving up to the level of the doorways and have been told that if we go up to DPC level, there is only one solution which is acceptable by building regs and that is a channelled product. Is there any situation in which a french drain could be used up to DPC next to paving?
I hope someone can help....

go to index on tool bar, click on dpc and it'll give you all the info you need on workarounds.

currently in luton ,lexus they let us use an aco but we have to install code4 lead 150mm above the aco any place it is level with the dpc
french drains are a total fail, and are a waste of shingle

if it is the appearance of the drain that bothers you, try acos brickslot channel. However careful planning needs to be given on how to clean (as in rodding) and maintain these type of drains.
