Hi i'm laying pretty expensive rimini riven flags in a grey/silver speckled colour.
I want a close joint (butt joint) them together as they have a champer edging each flag.
My question is what jointing if any should i use, it would need to be dry jointing but can find appropriate sand colour.
Can i just butt them together with no jointing?

Generally butt jointing is not reccomended. One of the important elements of a patio is that rain fall and other water runs off the surface of the paving to a drain/flowerbed/soakaway. The last thing you want is for water to be running in between the gaps of the slabs and getting under the patio, it could cause damage to the sub base in the long term.
Although the chamfer will allow you to get a bit of mortar in the gaps, it will be a very small amount and will have no strength to it. Within a matter of months it will start to crak and will eventually break up.
I would reccomend a minimum gap of 6-8mm. If you do decide go ahead and butt joint, then you may as well not bother pointing full stop
