What quantity of SBR would you use for a 3 to 1 pointing mix of plastering sand/ OPC ? Mix gauge: 50kg sand/ 16kg OPC, if going by instructions it says 10-15ltrs per 50kg cement so I think that works out at a minimum of 3.2 ltrs which just seems too much or is it ?

Cheers LLL. I was asking as have read quite a few posts on here saying that its better to use sbr rather than feb in pointing mix because its air entraining. Is easypoint/cempoint that much better than 3/1 wet mix sand/cement ? Ive never had any comebacks up to now with 3/1 sand cement bucket gauged but alot of people seem to be switching.

i have used 2 building sand 1 sharp sand and 1 cement before, and this turned out ok with stone setts. i have a job coming up to repoint some church steps, was going to use easypoint or something alike, but the cost is bib. some of the perp joints are wide so i think i am back to sand and cement. does anyone know any surpliers of easypoint in south cheshire. also i was going to put sbr in the sand and cement pointing job but after reading this i dont think i will bother.
