Not strictly a drainage question I know, but I think someone might be able to answer this one for me hopefully.
I have a client who wants me to shift the position of their loo in the bathroom. It connects directly into a cast iron soil pipe, I need to cut this pipe cleanly further along the run (inside the house) and then couple onto it in plastic.
My fear is it will shatter if I try to cut it, is there a right way of trying to do this?

I'm a pessimist, by that I mean an optimist with experience.
i use a stihl saw with a diamond blade
probably not right but cuts it as clean as a whistle
dont forget safety equipment
and you may need someone to support the pipe above the cut

angle grinder or you need to beg steal of borrow a set of jones cutters these are linked wheel cutter especially for cast youl have to cut a bit away behind the pipe to thread them through
