Size of tarmac drive

I've read on the main site that tarmac drives are not very cost effective for small drives due to initial cost of workforce and equipment etc. So what is considered to be not too small?

I'm probably going to need about 90 sq. metres. I don't fancy PIC because the slope of our drive is too steep or block paving due to maintenance with weeds.

I do like the resin bonded or bound but whilst most of the drive is currently concrete there would need to be an additional probably 20% that would need a base for the resin stuff and I'm not sure that this is possible as it wouldn't all be monolothic as a whole.

This seems to leave me with tarmac as an option but at what cost?

90m2 is a decent size of driveway and will be massively cheaper than resin.

block paving does have limited maintenance,but for most Uk driveways is eminently suitable
1 cost effective
2 easy to maintain
3 if there is a problem with installation it can be fixed easily
4 if future problems arise with utilities it can be removed then relaid
5 aesthetics
tarmac is very good when done by a decent crew,but they are thin on the ground

and if you want resin bound gravel you need a uniform surface to apply it to

expect to pay around 6 grand for a quality block pave installation +/- 15% according to various things
