Have lifted all my slabs as not on had bonded to bedded layer luckily I only laid about 12 as these are small limestone slabs
275x560 there is a lot of weight in them I would like them to bond to the bedding layer. The replys to previous post seem to suggest coating the back of the slab with SBR I assume this has the same affect as PVA when doing internal rendering? My question is this do you apply neat SBR to the back of the slab or is it thinned out? I have used SBR in the bedding layer but I believe that mix was too dry,as usual any suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks Ian :)

When using as a bond bridge you mix with cement 1:1 according to the tub but I'd wet it down a bit.

Make sure you wear suitable gloves and have a wet cloth ready to wipe up any spills.

Clean all surfaces; remove anything loose, dusty, friable.
Wash with clean water, leave damp.

Mix a primer of Ronafix sbr with cement, 1:1, in a bucket
Brush the primer onto the damp base AND brush the primer onto the underside of the slab
Apply mortar to wet / tacky primer
Fix slab
Compact
Allow to cure and gain strength

And yes....take care, don't splash the primer onto the top of the slab otherwise it may stick, and stain.

Happy bedding.
