I having my patio relaid and the brochure that the gentleman brought round is for Bretts Bronte manmade reconstituted stone. Could you tell me if these slabs are any good made of this. My daughter has them and they look nice but I am a bit worried about them now I found out they are manmade. Not that I know anything about paving at all.

I have never seen those slabs before so could not comment on what they are like. Brett are reputable, so they should be absolutely fine.
It is worth having a look around though. With the wide availability of concrete and stone products there has never been a better time to buy paving. Have a little look around the www rather than take the first thing shown to you

Hi
Bretts Bronte is a decent slab...we have had a display in this material (Acorn Brown) for about 9 years and there is still some life in it. Concrete slabs are manufactured, colour pigments used to create different shades etc. The colour fades over a period of time...some quicker than others...
It is worth looking at natural stone, for similar money (materials only) you can purchase natural stone.
We find that we still sell concrete slabs to customers who do not particularly like the variation in colour within natural stone.
80% of our customers however, opt for natural stone as we offer around 8 different choices of colour. Some vary in colour more than others. Personal choice....
I recommend you physically look at dispalys before you choose...it is fatal simply to look in Brochures / monitors / and one slab sample only...see the product laid down so you can see a few square metres and appreciate the variance / look / style / texture etc etc etc. This applies to concrete and stone.
