Just started to screed the first part of my driveway (7.5m x 3.5m). Should I lay the bedding sand (part compact) and screed the whole of my drive before laying blocks, or can I do it in sections ?

I'm a bit concerned that if I do the whole lot then it will get foot traffic on it before I get the blocks down.

Secondly, if I lay blocks on the part compacted bedding, can I walk on those blocks without causing any harm to the bedding etc.

Cheers

Paul

for that sort of area you would level it ,wack it ,screed to final height then lay the area in a day paul,I 'm sure most on here could do 2-3 times that area in a day
then do your cuts on day 2
as long as you walk at least 350 mm ish inside the body it will be fine
you just dont want people walking on the free edges,or driving on it

as tony says. you could always lay planks across to walk on to spread the load as a temporary measure
