a mate of mine is an accountant,and he reckon most white collar jobs you get 6-7 days work to do in 5
you get your salary but to complete your work you have to work late every night and saturday just to keep up

when i go into 90% of BMs the yard staff start playing hide and seek
then when you actually find one hiding under a tarp he says " over there" and vaguely points at a distant heap
now i know the money isnt great ,but even when i was on £20 a day casual in the late 80's early 90s i tried to do a days work
the day goes quicker if you keep yourself busy

Yeah totaly agree there LLL.
The ammount of times its just easier to load yourself up rather than trying to find a yard lad.
We often hand ball 2-300 brick if were short rather than waiting for some dope to say, 'il go and get the stacker!' and return 20 mins later, then doesnt have his knife to open the bands!

If there is no-one in the yard to serve me I just load myself and go into the store, tell them what I've had and there was no-one out there to serve me. I can't have blokes on-site waiting for materials.

Cheers Pickwell. We bought the Travertine bath to display at the ideal home show 2 years ago. We have not sold it yet but its a nice feature to have in the window and always gets peoples interest.

At the ideal home show it seemed to have magnetic qualities, everyone who walked past the bath stroked it, it was getting kind of funny. If I got a pound for everyone who stroked the bath at the Ideal Homes I would be a rich man

so how do you get it up stairs?
the one i saw installed had to be moved on skates and went downstairs,some very careful plumbing work had to be done around it

Thats the million dollar question. We've not come to that point yet. you might need to re-inforce the floor as well if it was going upstairs

I would put a big pestle in it steve and sell it to some chef as a garden feature!

like the hot tub we put in the basement in that last house you build it in as you go lol or you knock a window out and telehandler/crane the barstewards in. definitely wants to be on block and beam not timber haha.
