Weed control pins

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Hi, I recently layed some weed control fabric with 3 and a half ton of Romsey shingle on it. No cars will be going on this. My questions is this, Is it necessary to pin this fabric down, and what is the recommended depth the Romsey shingle should be.
Kind regards
Lou

About 30-40mm depending on aggregate size, no need to pin down its got 3.5 tonne of weight to stop it blowing away :)
