Nynex cable

just as a matter of interest, has any of the guy`s cut through a nynex or virgin media cable, and if so how much did it cost to get it repaired ? we nearly cut one today, it was the usual
one inch deep and no ducting and nowhere near where it should have been

Hit a few but as they were laid beneath hedgerows, between flags and mm deep in flowerbeds we have never paid to have one fixed yet.

i hit one the other week its only coax usually from the street to the house not fibre optic just repaired it and bound it up with tape, was only just under the surface like thed scraped it with a spade thin way on push it in and left it.

the fibre optic news ones are a nightmare, like bt infinity etc stay away from them.

ive always waited to get machines of site and then called them up, telling them how it went through with a shovel, not been charged yet

ive cut 4 only one of them was even in the ground the other 3 were in hedges not been charged

cut plenty as they generally are about an inch down
virgin have always come out pretty rapid and fixed it for free as they are losing revenue when it is cut

I've lost count of how many I've cut they're a bloody nightmare in fact we cut one on monday when we ripped out a frost damaged shrub. It was laid through the middle of a bed and the roots had encircled it never had a clue it was there. I've never paid for fixing it I leave that to be sorted out between the client and the network provider. Basically unless they're in an obvious spot and well buried then it's not my fault. They usually try and charge £60 for the fix but don't always get it.
