Completely off topic, and I hope I am not breaking any rules here.
I have a large quantity of radios, cd players and cd changers taking up space in my garage, they came as a job lot. Spoke to two builders today who were moaning about knackered radios in their vans, sold a couple of them instantly!
ere is a list - if anyone wants anything shout up, I will bench test them as I am asked for them but the source they came from induicated he only kept working ones (he is a car trader).

Discount for brewcabin members of course. Here's a jpeg of my up to date list.:-

Beckers are quality, these ones are the branded ones they do for Mercedes. I've got a Becker branded one with built in satnav to go in me little project that is nearing completion after 2 years. :)

Well, as it's me, its a Merc, 'tis my weakness.

I actually have two on the go although one is not started yet, well, not started by me anyway, I took over the resto of that one.

The one on the go right now is a 3 litre twincam SL convertible, I have replaced the engine, brakes, hood (b*tch of a job), wings, have put some serviceably battered seat bases in and am looking to now get it painted up and MOT'd. Have a contact who needs a drive done, ahem! I didn't line up the torque convertor correctly and to my enormous frustration the gearbox oil pump sheared. That'll be the rare-only-fitted-to-that-model gearbox then  . Have got a 'box now at last, just needs a gasket. It's the "Princess Diana" shape SL by the way.

The more long-term project is a 1968 250S saloon. Came to me engine and box-less, sight unseen. It was my intention to strip it for bits. Got it back to the yard, a bl**dy nightmare. Try geting a car onto a trailer when the steering box isn't connected and the wheels are slewing all over the place. One was not amused. But then, when I wiped away some of the grime, I was pleasantly surprised to see it had been fully bodily and chassis restored. So plans changed. It started life as a 2.5 carb'd six cylinder column change automatic. I procured a 3.5 v8 with slush box, complete with a full spare set of running gear for 300 of her maj's pounds. Had to snap the fella's hands off sharpish at that price. It's on a pallet in the yard, while I try to research whether I can get the gearchange to work as I found out afterwards that the v8 had a floor-mounted gear selector. I plan to have it finished as my eldest's wedding car. She's 17 next week and i won't release her into the community till at least 30 so I should be on target !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
