Yup the Insurances are up this week and in my infinate wisdom I've also managed to coincide it with the Vans and car tax so it's beans on toast for a few weeks. Vans coming in at £482 fully comp for any dirver over 25 and got a blinding price on public and emp liability of £398 from NFU. Thats nearly half last years and has the same cover which allows us to do public works and have 4 + me staff. A bonus on this one is that it classes me as an employee so I can twat away at myself safe in the knowledge that I can sue myself. What sort of pricing do you fellas get.

problem in court is that if i lose my license, me and my four kids go on benifits. i dont want that nor do the court so they allow me to keep my license but at a hefty cost. no nice cars for me anymore. i guess im lucky in a way but 9 of those points were purely bad luck. thought i was legal on a trade policy with 2 bits of timber in the back, got 6 points for carying goods uninsured... feckers

If you can prove that you'll lose your livelyhood as a direct result of being disqualified then the courts usually make an exception and keep bumping the points on. I've met someone with 24 on his licence. My wife got 3 points for using her phone in a tesco's carpark last year the f*ckers.

I am ringing NFU in the morning as my PL and EL for 4 is much more than that. Fleet policy of 4 vehicles is around £2100 any over 25.
Pablo, I suggest you check the small print ok? If you are self employed it's fairly impossible for you to be covered by employers liability as you employ yourself. The only exception would be if you are a limited company.
