What paving/stone is compatible with de-icing salt

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

We are in the process of deciding on the paving to use for the front path on our 130’s bungalow, we like the look of a light India sandstone with a dark block border.

However my wife is disabled with Cerebral Palsy and therefore can’t walk on ice or snow, so we must be able to use lots of de-icing salt – so what options do with have for paving?

Well in my experience anything concrete/cement based will not stand up to much salt, ive seen some serious damage to concrete drives and flags due to salt, but im not so sure what effect it has on block paving.

Should be ok with indian sandstone if you ask me
