hi . went to price a job this morning . gave customer a few brochures to look at . they picked this product . got a quote from builders merchants of 52 pound a metre inclusive of vat . had a little look on net found a supplier charging 31 pound a metre and over 65m a hell of a lot of difference. only problem with these is 1) going to take a long time to joint them all and 2) are they going to fade over time.she liked granite and at 9 pound a metre more think its worth paying the extra .also would a jointing product hold between the joints .thnx

We laid some of them years ago I think bradstone used to make something similar could be wrong, if I remember rightly we had a tub of sbr and used a little paintbrush to paint it in the joints and then put some in the mix for good measure as you say the joints are very shallow only 15 - 20 mm I think. As far as I know it stood up to it but I wouldn't fancy its chances with a pressure washer happy customer.

I would speak to instarmac and easipoint chris
I reckon you got 2 good days for 2 men pointing with a gun mortar
if you use a rsin type it would have to be high spec due to the shallowness of the joints
IMHO with the pretend bricks, mortar would look best ,and he/she can pick a colour to suit think a buff would look effective

For obvious reasons I'm not the biggest fan of concrete but really like the look of those imitation bricks

i would fancy using some reclaimed stock bricks bedded into a dry bedding mix,but i expect that would end up more costly
