My dad was high up in a company and told me they had 30 tickets for the Scotland v Brazil opener as gifts including wife/spouse day outs, 5 day stay in paris all expenses paid.
His employer still has 12 tickets pinned to a notice board, 2no of the invited phoned and apologised (birth and death)the rest never said a thing.
PS, applying under the name Lager Lout wouldn`t have helped your case. . :O

really rab?
i cant complain it seemed fair enough and i applied for loads of crap stuff in the hope of something, beach volleyball, heptathlon etc
they reckon only 250,000 came away empty handed, so looks like i am in good company
its a disgrace they want you to pay up 1 year in advance and only with visa
i seem to remember the world cup was mastercard or nothing
is the olympics amateur?
cos someone is raking it in,and its not the people of Great Britain who are the one's footing the bill

Yup the whole Olympic machine stinks. All sponsorship and endorsments have to go through the Olmypics governing body and the host nation has to agree to waive all taxes. So we pay for all the infrastructure etc and they come in and cream it then bugger off with our money and we're left with nothing but white elephants and debt.lutonlagerlout wrote:its a disgrace they want you to pay up 1 year in advance and only with visa

Least you get to say you went to the Olympics, think for £500 it'll cost you on the day Inc tickets I'll just get a new 50" tv to watch it on lol
Like rab says will be a good though, once in a lifetime thing and we ain't getting the world cup anytime soon

so 13 1/2 months on and its a week till the Olympic final
strange thing though?
hardly anyone entered the bleedin' thing
no italy,no germany,no argentina
not even the garlic eating surrender monkeys :;):
olympic fit up
the list of 16 teams is truly bizarre
its almost like its been fitted up for a brazil GB final
can anyone enlighten me as to why?
will still be a day out
but i would have liked to watch the sausage eaters or a bit of argy bargy

Went to Wembley yesterday to watch the ladies football tickets was £20 each and you also got an all zones travel card with every ticket 60000 turn out very good.
Nice day out well organised and I even went to boxhill the other week to see the mens cycling for free the other week...
Go and enjoy yourself Tony
