Have just wacked down type1 sub base but as usual you get areas that are a bit short of fines and are mainly large bits of rock.Is it worth putting down and compacting a thin layer of flooring grit/sharp sand or will it be ok just to bed on top of sub base? Also putting down fines will make it easy to set levels/falls
how do you guys do it(bearing in mind your pro's I'm just a amateur ! Thanks Ian

We always blind the marbled areas with some sharp sand and reconsolidate
