We've got full range of stihls from The ms200 top control(one handed) to the ms660 with a 75cm bar.
I've felled some big trees but they are a nasty bit of kit, always wear full ppe gear in visor, helmet and Kevlar chaps. Seen a chain come off and narrowly avoid dis balling a lad whipping rd between his legs.
Surprises me anyone can buy one in a DIY shed

When I was at college, they had two blokes making this...
(A huge horse)
A historical monument using recycled Lock Gates from Nantwich,
They used 4 brand new saws, which were worthless scrap at the end, a new chain every day, and a new bar every couple of days.
I'll find the pictures when I can see straight in the morning.

Did fabbo job - very very happy.
ps - Giles - I remember many years ago not allowed to hire chain-saw .,.. I then took in a mate with bulging biceps & tattoos - no argument...

We've got full range of stihls from The ms200 top control(one handed)
you need a chainsaw licence to buy a top handled saw, and any dealer who does not see proof of such before selling is in line for a hefty fine!

hehe a bit of verbal jousting going on here :;):Suggers wrote:ha ha - excellent - the words in the grauniad are prob a bit too long for a northern dyslexic digger driver
just returned from a stag do in skegvegas, what is it with northerners and their seemingly unlimited capacity for alcohol abuse with no obvious effect
the 21 of us were a sorry sight after the train journey to get there
i mean we were drinking but we all looked like crap
the lads from hull next to us were drinking till 5 AM then up at 9 drinking neat vodka and playing football?
we discussed this (drunken ramblings) and we are convinced there is a different gene in real northerners
or maybe not ???
was fun but 3 days was 2 1/2 days too long of solid drinking
cheers LLL

Got one, as we used to have the 120cc ms880 with a 48" bar as well but aren't that many big trees left now.
Got 2 top control, a stihl and a makita uses for roofs etc not a patch on the stihl though.
Suggers remember it was the Manchester guardian...........
