Can you advise on damproofing a wall below soil level. I am building a rockery, one side of which is retained by sleepers . the other side is against a neighbours garage wall. at the highest point it will be about a metre above the DPC level. tapering over a 4 metre length to about 0.3 metres. I had thought of using something like Visqeen self-adhesive DPM,if so can it be bought in small lengths.? Or would a butumen type sealant be better?. Any advice much apreciated.

You can't pile soil up against someone else's property, espeecially if it's less than 150mm below dpc or floor level. Even if your neighbour is your bestest mate in the whole world, building up soil like that is the sort of thing that is picked up by a surveyor if and when the property is sold, and will adversely affect the value.

You need to build an independent retainer that isolates the neighbour's garage and keeps it dry. Maybe another wall of sleepers?
